Nuvio
Positioning and launching a guest-commerce operating system
fig. 04 — Paton, The Quarrel of Oberon and Titania (detail)
Product strategy · research · digital launch
From cinema software to a guest-commerce operating system.
I shaped Nuvio's product position, built the competitive argument for Nuvio 2.0, developed its decks, and brought the final story to life on the website.
Existing platform proof—translated into the new story, not claimed as the outcome of my work.
400+screens powered across regions
350k+ticketing and concession transactions monthly
30+years of cinema and entertainment expertise
01 · The positioning problem
A capable platform with a story that was still too narrow.
Nuvio already connected ticketing, concessions, scheduling, loyalty, reporting and venue operations. But the value was being described module by module, leaving the larger idea—the operating system behind an entire guest journey—harder to see.
My work was to turn that capability into one legible market position, while preserving the cinema depth that made the platform credible in the first place.
02 · What I delivered
A product argument, not just a launch asset.
Product positioning
Defined the move from cinema SaaS toward one guest-commerce operating system.
Nuvio 2.0 landscape
Mapped competitors, claim ownership, automation opportunities and launch gaps.
Deck system
Turned modules, platform proof and AI direction into a coherent sales story.
Website
Created the final public expression of the positioning across structure, content and visual direction.

03 · Nuvio 2.0 research
I mapped the market before rewriting the promise.
The research covered cinema incumbents, venue platforms and AI automation products—not simply feature lists, but the claims each competitor could already defend.
Vista · Veezi · Retriever
Deep exhibition workflows, installed scale and an ecosystem assembled across specialised products.
ROLLER · Momentus · Convious
Strong unified-platform narratives and increasingly credible AI-assisted operations.
CRM · BI · F&B · workforce
Point tools that compete for the same operational and transformation budget.
The key shift: cinema is not a separate product. It is the hardest, most constraint-heavy instance of the platform.
04 · The product thesis
One platform.
Multiple revenue engines.
A cinema schedule has licensing windows, distributor terms, format allocation, screen constraints, cleaning turnarounds and settlement obligations. If the operating system can handle that density, it can expand naturally into arenas, attractions and other live venues.
Built for the hardest venue type—designed to run every other one too.
05 · The website
Operational complexity, translated into flow.
I made the website the clearest expression of the positioning: immersive venue photography for the human experience, a modular product system for the operational story, and cobalt motion cues to connect friction, flow and profit.
- Guest firstThe venue experience leads; the software supports it.
- One data layerModules read as a connected operating system rather than a catalogue.
- AI with contextAutomation is tied to live venue operations, not presented as a decorative feature.
06 · Built for every venue
One operating system, shaped around six sector realities.
The sector system made the breadth of Nuvio tangible without flattening every venue into the same workflow.

Cinemas & Multiplexes
Showtime ticketing, concessions ordering and screen-by-screen capacity on one operating layer.

Theme & Water Parks
High-volume access control, timed entry and multi-point food and beverage operations.

Theaters & Opera Houses
Complex reserved seating, memberships and intermission pre-ordering across performances.

Stadiums & Arenas
High-burst entry, live capacity visibility and mobile ordering at event scale.

Music Festivals
RFID cashless commerce, multi-stage scheduling and temporary-venue operations.

Conferences & Summits
Registration, breakout booking, badge commerce and catering logistics in one view.
07 · Product story
The narrative had to work at every operating layer.

Ticketing + scheduling
Film data, versions, screens, show planning, seat intelligence and channel assignment.

F&B + commerce
Inventory, kitchen operations, in-seat ordering, upselling and reporting in the same flow.

Connected ecosystem
Digital signage, loyalty, CRM, marketing automation and real-time operational analytics.
08 · Nuvio 2.0
From dashboards to governed operational drafts.
The next position was not “another AI dashboard.” It was software that can draft work against the same live records the venue already runs on—then route it through the right human controls.
- 01SenseDemand, queues, occupancy and margin
- 02DraftSchedules, stock plans, offers and actions
- 03ApproveRole-based thresholds and human review
- 04LearnAudit, edit distance and approval quality
